The shoes are made to very high standards and feature a double thickness leather sole with a thin layer of foam padding between the inner and outer leather. The sole of the shoes is made from soft, strong, split leather to provide grip and ensure durability. The upper leather is soft and breathable. The shoes feature an elasticated and flexible ankle strap which makes putting and keeping them on very easy. These shoes are great to wear around the home, at nursery and outdoors in dry weather. Liliputi soft sole shoes are made in Hungary by a family run company making high quality shoes and baby carriers from natural materials. The leather for the shoes is quality Italian leather, and is certified to be free from harmful chemical residues, making it perfectly safe for your child. The shoes are extremely well made, being both strong and beautiful. Unlike many of the other soft sole shoes available, Liliputi shoes are made with a triple layer sole, with the durable and slip resistant split leather outer, a 3mm layer of sponge and a soft leather inner. This has the benefit of providing some cushioning of jolts and shocks, whilst still giving all the advantages and benefits of a soft sole. Why Should I Choose Soft-sole Shoes for My Child? 98% of children are born with healthy feet, yet 60% of adults have some kind of foot deformation. These deformations develop in childhood, and the cause is often inappropriate footwear. Almost all experts agree that walking barefoot is the healthiest, which is not surprising, since we have been walking barefoot for quite some time and continue to do so today in many parts of the world.
